Randy Wagner is a Texas resident and 'prepper,' one of millions of people in the US who believes in preparing for the worst by stocking up on emergency supplies and other survival essentials. Wagner was laughed at by some friends and family when he made an almost $9,000 investment in an Aqua Dam, a large inflatable tube that is filled with water to act as a barrier against rising flood waters.

Wagner was no longer the butt of anyone's joke after using his Aqua Dam to protect his home from flood waters that reached 27 inches earlier this summer. While hundreds of people were evacuated from flooded homes, Wagner and his family remained safe and dry.
