The Levitt AMP Lafayette Music Series Kick Off With The Suffers May 27th [Video]

The Levitt AMP Lafayette Music Series commences Wednesday, May 27th at the Lafayette Horse Farm on Johnston Street. There will be 10 concerts, running from May 27th, to July 29th. The inaugural event will feature The Suffers. They're a 10 piece soul band, based in Houston. The Suffers have been featured on The Late Show With David Letterman. Another highlight of the series will be Marcella & her Lovers. Marcella Simien is the daughter of Grammy winner Terrance Simien. She & her band make Memphis their base of operations. They've cultivated a stellar reputation in their own right. Other favorites on the schedule include the Pine Leaf Boys, Geno Delafose, and Marcia Ball. Admission is free. All ages are welcome.
