The First Three Minutes of ‘IT’…With Legos

Some of our most deep-seated fears spawn from childhood trauma. There will always be that one image or event that you just can't get out of your head, and Stephen King's 'IT' uses the sensibility of some as a tool that grips the audience and never lets go. It was when I stumbled upon this Facebook post that I could really appreciate the fandom and I could see that even the most innocent medium cannot dilute the fear many feel watching 'IT'.

Now, I'm not saying that everyone is afraid of Pennywise the Dancing Clown, or anything in particular. What I am suggesting is that just as displayed in the movie, scaring someone, especially a youth, can sometimes stick with the individual forever. It's no wonder why horror fans and casual movie goers alike can consume this story over, and over, and still get goosebumps.

I know you've all seen 'IT'. The movie is creeping up on 'The Sixth Sense' as the highest-grossing horror film ever according to Box Office Mojo. Though the story isn't "fresh", and the movie avoided creating too many deviations from the original, Facebook comments seem to prove that people are still as scared as ever of old Pennywise, Legos or not.
