The Beatles' music is still so relevant, it's hard to believe they broke up over 40 years ago.  On April 10th, 1970, Paul McCartney made it official. Their music is among the most popular, widely recognized of all time.

Their music is also among the most often remade, and their influence on new compositions by contemporary artists is readily apparent.  It can clearly be heard in the songs of top artists like U2 and Coldplay.   Thirty years after they disbanded  "Beatles 1", a collection of their 27 #1 singles, entered Billboard's Album Chart at #1, and sold 5 million copies in it's first week of release. "Yellow Submarine" is slated for a May release on Blu-Ray. I can't wait to add it to my collection.  The Beatles' music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and always will be.
