The 2012 Lafayette Sonic Christmas Parade Rolls Sunday Dec. 2nd

It's that time of year again as Lafayette, along with Sonic,  welcomes jolly ol' Santa Claus himself back in the Lafayette Sonic Christmas Parade. Santa Claus is coming to town and he officially arrives this Sunday, December 2nd. As always, it is one of the most anticipated Christmas parades in South Louisiana and this year will be no exception. Get your perfect spot and lookout for marching bands, floats, local dignitaries and Santa Claus himself!

The Lafayette Sonic Christmas parade will begin at 1pm this Sunday, December 2nd. It all starts at the Jefferson Street underpass in downtown Lafayette and heads towards Vermillion St. Once on Vermillion, the parade then makes its way towards Johnston St. and will remain on Johnston St.  up to St Mary. The parade route then turns onto St. Mary and makes its way into the “Oil Center” where it will conclude.

The Sonic floats will be throwing thousands specially designed 'Santa Tots' from their floats.

This Christmas parade is HUGE!! There’s always several Sonic floats part of the parade, several local marching bands and dance teams. If you are looking to get into the Christmas spirit, come on out this Sunday afternoon! See you there!!!
