Thanksgiving Garbage Collection in Lafayette

Whether you use paper plates or fine china for your Thanksgiving get-together, there's always trash to get rid of. Here's the plan for Lafayette: There will be no garbage or recycling collection on Thanksgiving day in Lafayette. Regular Thursday customers will be collected on Friday, and Friday customers receive service on Saturday.  All customers in Lafayette served by Allied Waste will have collection of excess waste that does not fit in the automated garbage cart.  Excess garbage must be bagged, and placed on the ground at least three feet from the automated cart.  All Allied Waste customers receive the excess collection on their first collection day following Thanksgiving.
