It could happen to anyone, even you. The condition is called FAS or 'Foreign Accent Snydrome,' an extremely rare neurological disorder. Texas native Lisa Alamia awoke after corrective jaw surgery to find her accent had gone from decidedly Southern to decidedly British.

"They're like, now there's no way you sound 'hood' at all," Alamia said. "My daughter laughs at the way I say 'tamales.' I used to be able to say it like a real Hispanic girl. Now I cannot."

Some believe Alamia is faking, but she maintains her accent has really changed. What do you think?
