The 2014 Atlantic Hurricane Season began one month ago today. We have our first named storm, today, July 1st.  Arthur isn't expected to threaten the Gulf Coast. Meteorologist Dave Baker, of KATC TV-3 reports, Arthur will make his way up the east coast over the next few days, possibly reaching hurricane strength as passes over the outer banks of North Carolina. At the very least, much of the Atlantic coast can expect a rainy, windy 4th of July weekend.
