What do Pink Floyd, Lady Gaga, Sam Smith, The Beatles, Coldplay, and Kanye West have in common? They've all recorded at Abbey Road. The iconic studio has been turning out timeless music for more than 80 years. Countless movie scores have been recorded at Abbey Road, including "Gravity," "The Gangs of New York," "The Hobbit-The Battle of the Five Armies," and many others. The future of the studio came into question in 2010, when EMI reportedly considered selling it to land developers, who wanted to build an apartment building on the property. The British government declared Abbey Road a historic site, and EMI announced it wouldn't be sold.
