Tailgating Trends in Louisiana and Across the Nation

Football season is here! The Ragin Cajuns play Grambling at Cajun Field on September 1, which is National Tailgating Day! A company called Offers.com did a survey to find out about tailgating trends in Louisiana and across the nation, and found out a few interesting tidbits. Wings and wine coolers? Really?

From Offers.com:

• A majority of Louisiana tailgaters will be eating wings this season. Tacos, burgers and nachos are also fan favorites.

• Wine Coolers and beer take the top two spots for favorite tailgating drinks throughout Louisiana.

• To get what they need for the ultimate tailgate (no matter if they are grilling out in their backyard or heading to the stadium parking lot), Louisiana shoppers are most likely to go to Walmart and Academy.

• Following nationwide trends, Cornhole took the top spot when we asked Louisiana football fans about their favorite game to play while tailgating.

• While a majority of Louisiana (48%) said they will drink 0-2 alcoholic drinks while tailgating, 9% percent admitted they guzzle down 9+ alcoholic beverages on average.
