May 4, 2012 Well, it's not really in Lafayette, but THE event of the weekend in Acadiana is the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival. Gates open at 4:30 on Friday and the party lasts all weekend long. Jazz Fest also continues through Sunday in New Orleans.
Congress is currently considering a postal service overhaul which would eventually eliminate Saturday delivery in a bid to make the postal service more cost efficient.
How would that go over with the public?
April 20, 2012 The Louisiana State Harley Owners' Group (H. O. G.) Rally is being held this weekend in Lafayette, and over 3,000 motorcycles are expected to participate.
