From 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. tonight, Monday, June 27, 2011 and Tuesday night, June 28, 2011, the right lane of LA 3073 (Ambassador Caffery Pkwy) will be closed in the eastbound direction from La Neuville Road to Chemin Metairie Road, and the left lane of LA 3073 (Ambassador Caffery Pkwy.) will be closed in the westbound direction from Chemin Metairie Road to La Neuville Road
June 22, 2011 The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will be reducing US 90 (the SE Evangeline Thruway) to one lane in both the westbound and eastbound directions from Pinhook Rd to University Ave in Lafayette Parish on Wednesday night, June 22, 2011, and Thursday night, June 23, 2011, from 7:00 pm until 6:00 am
From the Louisiana State Police, here's a reminder regarding the upcoming Memorial Day weekend and safety measures to consider when traveling.
The Memorial Day weekend is the "official" start of summer for many of us in Louisiana. As children finish their school year; families plan weekend outings; or we head out on vacation; the traffic on our roadways will increase. Unfortunately, with that increased traffic there is also a greater chance of being involved in a crash.
May 25, 2011 The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced today that drivers are now able to access up-to-date traffic information via new traffic cameras installed on I-10 and I-49 in the Lafayette region.
Check them out before you get on the road for the Memorial Day holiday!
May 3, 2011 100 block of Vermilion Street, between Jefferson Street and Buchanan Street will be closed on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 7:00 AM to Midnight.
Ayreshire Drive between Alonda Drive and Rena Drive will be closed from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm May 3-6 for utility work prior to the Ayreshire bridge replacement
April 28, 2011 Monroe St. between the two Olivier Streets will be closed for sewer repair. This closure is scheduled for Thursday, April 28, 2011 and Friday April 29, 2011 from 8:00 AM to5:00 PM each day.
The 600 block of Jefferson Street is scheduled to be closed on Saturday, April 30, 2011, from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM for the Festival International de Louisiane-5 K Run

Well, if you said that we get calls from motorists to alert us, you are correct, for the most part: we also have access to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development's website, which streams the traffic cameras, 24/7 (barring any technical difficulties)
