"Expected delays" can never be good news. But, that's what DOTD says we should be ready for when they begin repair work on Verot School Road. Here's the plan, according to a bulletin from DOTD:
The outside westbound lane on E. Pont Des Mouton at Louisiana Avenue will be closed on Thursday, January 19, 2012 for one week for water and sewer work.

Louisiana DOTD says they're replacing the pavement markings on Johnston St. That means traffic will be impacted for two weeks. Johnston Street will be reduced to one lane in both directions from Ambassador Caffery to US 90 Evangeline Thruway beginning tonight
On Wednesday, 28, 2011, I-10 in Lafayette Parish will be reduced to one lane for the replacement of overhead signs in the eastbound direction. The work will take place near the Ambassador Caffery Pkwy interchange between the hours of 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Beginning Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 6:00 a.m., the center and outside lanes of US 167 NB (NE Evangeline Thruway), will be closed from LA 94 (Louisiana Avenue) to the railroad located just South of Donlon Street for railroad repairs.
I drive Bonin road frequently. Not once have I had a problem navigating the curves on that road, but, obviously, many people do.
