MacKenzie Bourg Covers Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” [Video]
One of the 'surprises' about MacKenzie Bourg (Lafayette native and recent contestant on NBC's "The Voice") is the fact that he is packing more voice than what it seems his frame allows for.

'The Voice' has been narrowed down to just six competitors, and coach Christina Aguilera has been "eliminated." No, don't you worry your pretty little heads, Aguilera herself is still sitting pretty -- albeit, with a really bad wig on tonight -- in her red chair, she just doesn't have any team members competing on the show anymore!
Emotions ran high last night as the votes were announced, and, unfortunately, MacKenzie Bourg did not garner enough votes to make it to the next round. (If you watch the video, and want to 'skip' to see Mac, scroll 7/8 of the way to the end!!)
But, let's think about this before we all wallow in our gumbo:
Let's Elect Lafayette's MackKenzie Bourg as 'The Voice'!
If you haven't been watching NBC's "The Voice", maybe you should: one of the contestants is an outstanding talent from right here in Acadiana!
Lafayette's MacKenzie Bourg performed on 'The Voice' last night in the 'Knockout' rounds. I love the way Mac 'personalizes'the songs he sings. He has a way of transforming songs and making them Mac-ified!! Did you see him? Were you surprised with the results? Watch it again here:
Well, the hour installments of 'The Voice' sure do fly by, don't they?
Emily Earle and Mackenzie Bourg had a good time on Team Cee Lo -- it was kind of awesome considering Bourg is such a huge fan of Cee Lo's advisor Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty. Who doesn't love a good fan freakout? Okay so it wasn't a freakout on an us-meeting-Britney Spears-kinda-level, but it was cool.
Nicole Johnson sang her country heart out to ‘Mr. Know-It-All’ by Kelly Clarkson during her blind audition on tonight’s episode of ‘The Voice,’ inspiring judges Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton to turn around.
The talent keeps on coming - from LA to L.A. - and NBC's 'The Voice.' The promo for tonight's episode shows a young lady who's from Denham Springs and is trying to make it in Nashville and beyond. Her name is Nicole Johnson and if that name sounds familiar, it could be because she recorded a Christmas song you may have heard back in 2008.
Four contestants on the current season of NBC's 'The Voice' have Louisiana connections. If you're watching the show, pay special attention to these performers:
