April 18, 2012 I just got hit by a freight train! My friend & longtime colleague, Jaycee, just walked across the hall to inform me of the death of Dick Clark. I never had the privilege of meeting him, but Dick Clark has been a role model and an icon to me since childhood. I used to watch American Bandstand religiously as a boy. I've always admired the way he did his job without making it look like a job.
