The fall 2014 TV season has been dominated by the arrival of superhero series like 'Gotham,' 'The Flash' and more, and CBS is about to have a 'Super' new addition to the team. Following its initial announcement, the 'Supergirl' TV series has officially landed at CBS with a full series commitment, focusing on the tale of Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin.

Man of Steel is already soaring at the box office. But is it a good Superman movie or just a pale action spectacle that happens to star a guy called Superman?

The highly-anticipated Superman film "Man of Steel" (I'll be providing a review of the film on Friday!) debuts this Friday, June 13th, and numerous businesses have eagerly participated in the film's promotion. Among those businesses is Sears, who is tying in their Father's Day promotions with "Man of Steel" and appearing in the film itself.

Until this day seventy-five years ago, there was no such thing as a "super-hero." Two young men, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, after years of trying and two failed versions, finally succeeded in selling their character, creating a legend in the process.
