Flooding Closes Bayou Darbonne Boat Launches
June 1, 2011 EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, by orders of St. Landry Parish President, Don Menard, all boat launches to Bayou Darbonne will be closed until further notice. This notice is being issued due to the increased water levels and the safety hazards boating posses for the residents in these areas. These orders include the Levee Landing Boat launch and the Public Boat Launch under Hwy 190. Please be advised the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Department will be patrolling these areas and will strictly enforce these orders.
