Road closures

The Department of Transportation and Development has announced the following REVISED road closures due to flooding in Acadiana.

The following areas are still reporting problems with high water in the roadway. The public is asked to avoid these areas until the water subsides and the streets are cleared of abandoned vehicles.

Some areas are seeing high water on roads. Be wary of traveling on flooded roads as thunderstorms continue to barrage our area.As the thunderstorms roll through Acadiana, Lafayette Parish is seeing flooding across the area.

The road will be closed from 7 PM- 6 AM tonight through August 8.

DOTD asks for drivers to be on the lookout for workers.

DOTD says drivers can detour using Louisiana Highways 83 and 318.

Mother Nature got fired up a round 4:00am this morning with some serious rain, winds and hail all across Acadiana. We sure hope you and your family are safe. Not sure how this will all shake out, because it looks like rain for the rest of our Sunday. Below is a list of road closures and sandbag information we have at this time.

DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience the necessary may cause today.

A portion of St. John Street in Downtown Lafayette will be closed for repairs.

The Louisiana DOTD has announced that the east bound right lane of I-10, between mile marker 126 and 127 on the basin bridge,

Kaliste Saloom at Evangeline Thruway will close for one month beginning Tuesday, 11/3.

The DOTD is reporting the following lane closures, road closures and construction zones that may affect your daily commute around Acadiana, and through the Interstate 10 corridor.

Two closures happening on Interstate 10 should have drivers' attention over the next five days.

Detours include using other portions of Louisiana Highways 758 and 29.

Lafayette's Public Works Department says that Ole Colony Road will be closed for repairs beginning September 30.

The Sugar Cane Festival runs through the 28 in New Iberia.

With the heavy rains came heavy flooding in Lafayette today.

Effective immediately, the following road closure are in place. The roads will be reopened as soon as conditions improve.
