'American Idol' season 10 is officially down to the final three. Over 72 million votes were cast this week, making it the highest top-four vote ever in the history of the show.

Unfortunately, even record-breaking numbers weren't enough to save James Durbin. The 22-year-old rocker was sent packing Thursday night, marking yet another surprise in an already surprise-heavy season.

Gossip is buzzing today about Casey and Haley's future and their 'touchy-feely' relationship as reported by In Touch, but I prefer to dig into the contestants' pasts. Found a couple of gems from James Durbin and Pia Toscano. Did you know James was a vocalist at a 'School of Rock' in Santa Cruz and that Pia was the singer for a group called 'Current Affair'?

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of American Idol. Well, after hearing James Durbin sing "Maybe I'm Amazed" on last night's show, it made me want to listen to the first version of that song I ever heard, and the best version. While I was digging around the internet, I found an amazing version of the Star Spangled Banner by James Durbin recorded in 2009.
