DOTD has developed a simplified map, for public use, that depicts a portion of I-49 South from Lafayette to Berwick. "The proposed design- build project will widen US 90 from four to six lanes... and multiple overpasses..."

Louisiana DOTD, the Federal Highway Administration and Lafayette Consolidated Government will hold a public hearing on on Wednesday, August 15, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Carencro Community Center, located at 5115 North University Avenue in Carencro.

The entrance and exit ramps on I-49 at the following locations will be closed from 6:00 p.m. until 6 a.m. on the following nights to allow for the overlay of the existing 4 foot and 10 foot shoulders:
