We've all been wondering if spring will ever come to South Louisiana. Overnight lows in the 30's in Late March? An ice storm on Mardi-Gras?! Spring officially begins Saturday. The first Downtown Alive of 2014 is Friday. The UL ''Big Band" kicks it off in Parc Sans Souci with Johanna Divine at 6:00.

People have been asking me, "When's Downtown Alive starting up?" The answer is....March 21st! The spring 2014 season of DTA kicks off with The UL Big Band, and Johanna Divine in Parc Sans Souci. There will be fewer events this season, but bigger bands. Yes, it's still free!

Thursday evening, December 5, Ray Boudreaux celebrating his homecoming during a special Downtown Alive after being eliminated from NBC's The Voice.

This morning, December 4th, Ray Boudreaux who was eliminated from the top 8 on NBC's The Voice last week, appeared on the air with CJ and Debbie Ray where he answered CJ's Big Question live!

CJ and Debbie Ray will be interviewing Ray Boudreaux, who made it into the top 8 on NBC's The Voice, and we will have something that could change his life, again.

Nik-L-Beer has been one of Acadiana's favorite bands for more than 30 years. When they hit the stage, you know it's going to be a good time!

Chubby Carrier & The Bayou Swamp Band take the stage at Parc International this Friday @ 6:00. It'll be my pleasure to host the event.

Things kick off w/ the Molly Ringwald's on September 13th. The season wraps up with the Downtown Holiday Celebration, featuring the Pine Leaf Boys, on Wednesday Nov. 27th.

The weather service said Friday residents could expect anywhere from one to three inches of additional rainfall.

KATC-TV meteorlogist Dave Baker has expressed little hope that weather conditions will abate to allow tonight's event to go on as scheduled.
