Is this what they mean by the dog days of summer?

Go ahead and watch this without crying. Or at least tearing up. We dare you.

Your dog will always want to go for a walk, but you must be the adult and know if it's safe or not. Concrete, pavement and many other surfaces may be too hot for your dog in the summer months.

We posted Lily's story last week, and asked you to share the story on social media. This couple read Lily's story, and their hearts melted.

She doesn't usually wear dresses, but it's the Polyester Power Hour, so I thought a costume of some sort would be appropriate!

This Friday, June 26, is 'Take Your Dog to Work Day!'

Watch and smile as these Golden Retriever puppies slip and slide their way around the corner into the kitchen for dinner.

The Lafayette Animal Control Center on Pont des Mouton will be the site for the event. The event starts at 1:30, with a visit from Uncle Sam!

Lily has been looking for a loving home for over 2 years. You and I can help her, by either (considering) adoption, and/or by sharing this post! Let's find her a home!

There will be a few pet adoption days this Saturday, affording you the opportunity to share your family's love with a rescued pet!

The event is from 11am-3pm and will include live music by Casey Courville and Alyse Young. Cajun Paws Rescue will be accepting food and monetary donations, and will also have a few dogs available for adoption.

This weekend in Lafayette offers great music and entertainment as well as opportunities to learn about Native American culture and make a difference in the community. You can also dispose of your household chemicals safely on Household Chemical Day!
