Preparing for an upcoming move, I visited a local moving company office to schedule an estimator for a quote on moving all of my worldly possessions. 

Upon entering the Mayflower Movers office on University Ave. in Lafayette, I saw an animal crate covered with a towel sitting on a desk in a brightly painted hot pink office.  I inquired; 'Whatcha got in the crate?'  The lovely lady behind the desk told me it was a 2 week old kitten, fast asleep.

This is my dog, Lizzie, looking a little bewildered in front of the computer. She's very smart about some things, especially when treats are involved, but I would never dream that she would play on a computer. Cats, however, are very different, and our friends at Friskies know it. They determined that cats need apps for their tablet compters, so they have launched a line of apps just for cats, with feline-friendly titles like ‘Tasty Treasures Hunt.’ The only way you could get one of my dogs interested in this would be if the device were covered in peanut butter, but the cats in these videos seem to be enjoying them.

Two pets in one?  This cat starts off barking like a dog, then goes back to meowing like a cat.  You have to hear it for yourself.

Earlier this week, a man dropped off a section of rusty pipe to firefighters at Redding, California’s Fire Station #4. Why? There was a kitten trapped inside of it. That’s right, a real life, just-larger-than-pipe-sized cat. So were these American heroes able to squeeze him out? Yes!

One California feline is attracting attention for his kleptomaniac ways — he’s stolen about 600 items from neighbors in the past 3 years, often returning multiple times for loot, including taking two trips to steal a pair of shoes or a bikini top and bottom.
