Sweeping Work On Interstate Ten Will Lead To Lane Closures Starting Tonight

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development says that they will be doing sweeping work on both sides of Interstate Ten tonight and tomorrow night.

DOTD says you can expect alternating lane closures on both sides of I-10 in Lafayette and St. Martin Parishes.

The work will begin tonight at 8:00 p.m and wrap up tomorrow morning at 6 a.m., but then more sweeping will be done starting at 8 o'clock Friday night through 6 a.m. Saturday, May 14, weather permitting.

Officials say they will not be doing an sweeping on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

DOTD says the operation is a continual sweeping operation, so you can expect the machines to be moving at all times.
