Survey: American Idol Doesn’t Need Jennifer Lopez

I was surprised to read yesterday that 59% of people who responded to an ongoing AccessHollywood.com poll have said they don't want to see Jennifer Lopez back on American Idol. I liked her on the show. Her critiques were always constructive and kind.

Wonder if the cold response had anything to do with the comments she made last week to BBC Radio about being undecided about returning to the hit show. Last year, her contract was worth $12 million. Do you think the remark she made was a negotiating tactic that has backfired? Or have the haters just made their votes count?
