The full moon this month was more than just a normal full moon.

Well, it was just a normal 'Full Moon', but it happened to be the closest encounter with Earth this year, dubbed a "Perigee" Moon, or, more simply, a "Super" Moon.

The Moon appeared larger this weekend, only because it was closer to the Earth than most other times of the year, due to the Moon's elliptical orbit.
