Okay, summer Hasn't officially arrived, but it comes early in Louisiana's sub tropical climate. Folks will be taking to the road, hitting the beach, or the pool, and going fishing. It's very important to to protect yourself from the UV rays of the sun. Most of us remember sunscreen. What about your eyes? You need to protect them, too! PR Newswire has recently published a list of tips from Ophthalmologists to protect your eyes. Sunglasses are a must. I've been wearing glasses since kindergarten, so I have transition lenses. If you think your car windows protect you, yes, they do, but not totally. It's recommended you wear sunglasses while driving. They also recommend sunglasses labeled "UV400" or "100 percent UV protection." Wearing a hat is a good idea, too. Enjoy your summer!
