Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive

United Way of Acadiana invites members of the community, employees at local businesses and organization members to Stuff the Bus with school supplies again in 2015.

The annual campaign is sponsored by Cox Communications and Cargill this year and provides supplies to schools in Acadia, Lafayette, St. Martin and Vermillion parishes. The Stuff the Bus drive is a part of United Way of Acadiana’s commitment to assist more children in Acadiana by enabling them to enter school ready to learn, read at grade level, and graduate from high school on time.

The Stuff the Bus School drive helps families by equipping students with the tools they need to learn and be successful in school. The campaign is July 15 - 31.

Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:

July 31 -  United Way of Acadiana – 215 E. Pinhook Rd., Lafayette LA

July 31 - Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital – 1101 Kaliste Saloom Rd., Lafayette, LA

August 8 - St. Paul’s Episcopal Church – 101 E. Vermilion St., Abbeville, LA

Recommended supplies include:

• Notebooks
• Pencils
• Crayons
• Folders
• Glue
• Scissors
• Paper towels
• Construction paper
• Rulers
• Ink pens
• Red pens
• Erasers
• Glue sticks
• Binders
• Highlighters
• Pencil sharpeners
• Index cards
• Loose-leaf paper
