‘Stop the Violence’ Second Line for Will Smith Set for Wednesday

As the WHO DAT Nation mourns the death of one of their most beloved former players, an event to honor Will Smith peacefully will take place Wednesday night in New Orleans.

The 'Stop the Violence' Second Line' will begin at 6:00 pm at 1125 St Mary St, at Half Moon Bar, and will proceed to Sophie B. Wright and Felecity St., where the Will Smith memorial is currently set up. This location is the site of the shooting that took place Saturday night that killed the former Saints player.

The public is invited to attend, and musicians are being asked to bring their instruments. The second line will be led by James "12" Andrews, in an effort to pay respects to the beloved father of 3 in a peaceful manner. Reports from NOLA.com are saying that the New Orleans Saints will hold a memorial service on Friday at the team facility in Metairie. The public is also invited to attend a visitation at the Saints indoor training facility at 5800 Airline Drive in Metairie Friday from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm. A private funeral and service will be held on Saturday.

Cardell Hayes, the alleged shooter, is currently being held on $1 million bond for second degree murder.
