I've been a cardiac patient for about 18 years. Over the past year, I've lost 50 lbs., thinking I'd get congratulated by  my cardiologist for my efforts. There's an ironic twist to this. An ultrasound at the end of July revealed a problem that had previously gone undetected previous to the weight loss. This threw me for a loop.
