One of the great things about burgers is that you can make them a limitless number of ways. I love to experiment! This one's a product of the Memorial Day weekend. I used 6 oz. ground sirloin, a slice of turkey pastrami, some baby spinach, 3 slices of bacon, olive oil mayo, ketchup, 2 slices of onion, 2 slices of whole wheat bread, & 2 slices of tomato. I put the pastrami & 1 slice of the cheese inside the patty, seasoned it with some "Tony's", put it under the broiler in a black skillet, surrounded by the onions. When it was cooked, I put the onions on top & melted the second slice of cheese on top. I didn't use a bun, 2 slices of toasted whole wheat bread. A little mayo, the baby spinach, tomato, bacon, then the burger & a little ketchup, in that order, keeping the cold stuff on the bottom, hot stuff on top. A co worker asked what I'm writing about. When I described it, he said "Sounds good to me!" It was, if I say so myself.
