ALS is personal for me. My uncle died of it when I was a kid. I have tremendous admiration for the likes of Stephen Hawking, Pete Frates, who started this Ice Bucket Challenge, and Steve Gleason. Each of them have refused to wave a white flag. I'm fortunate to have a collection of life experiences that my friend & colleague, Debbie Ray insists would make a good book. A couple of those memories involve former New Orleans Saint Steve Gleason. I was fortunate enough to be in the Superdome the night he blocked that historic punt. It was also my good fortune to be present when he walked onto the field under his own power for the final time, as an honorary captain at the 2011 game against Houston. Three people nominated me to take the challenge, CJ Clements, Tai, from Planet Radio 105.1, and my daughter, Stephanie Wiley. There are several organizations to which you can donate. I chose Team Gleason.
