St.Mary Parish Woman Arrested After Allegedly Stomping On Marijuana

St. Mary Parish detectives on patrol in the Franklin area say they stopped a woman for failing to signal before her turn and that led to a drug arrest.

Detectives say they started searching 25-year-old Cierra Smith's car when she went back into the car and grabbed a bag of marijuana.

Deputies say Smith then threw the bag on the ground, and she tried to destroy it by stomping on it.

Smith was taken to jail and later was released on a $3,000 bond.
