Now let's be honest - haven't you always wanted to visit Mayberry, North Carolina? Barney Fife, Andy Taylor, Floyd the barber, Aunt Bea, Opie - they are part of television history, and definitely some of the most beloved characters to ever appear on a tv screen in 'The Andy Griffith Show', which ran from 1960-1968.

If you ever wanted to visit some of the cities that your favorite tv shows are based on, our friends at Southern Living can help. Some of these are places I've wanted to go to for a long tim, so make plans for a road trip with a whole bunch of nostalgia, ya'll.

• 'Dukes of Hazzard' - Hazzard County, Georgia is fictional, but in the 2005 movie, scenes were partially filmed at State Capital Dragway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
• 'The Andy Griffith Show' - Mayberry was based on the real life Mount Airy, North Carolina
• 'The West Wing', 'Homeland', 'Scandal', 'Veep', and 'House of Cards' - all filmed in the real life drama capital of the wold - Washington, DC
• 'The Walking Dead' - Senoia, Georgia
• 'Nashville' - the Bluebird Cafe, Belle Meade Plantation, and the Grand Ole Opry are all top notch tourist attractions featured in the TV show
• 'Flipper', 'The Golden Girls', 'Miami Vice' - Miami, Florida
• 'Dallas' - Southfork Ranch is a real, working ranch outside of Big D
