Softball Site Picks Louisiana To Win Sun Belt Conference

At least one prominent softball site thinks the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are the team to beat in the race for the 2019 Sun Belt Conference title.

The site lists outfielder Sarah Hudek as the Player of the Year, Megan Kleist as Pitcher of the Year, and Gerry Glasco as Coach of the Year.

It should be pointed out that JWOS made these picks last week. Now, of course, as most of you know, Kleist announced on Tuesday that she won't be pitching for UL until 2020. So, if they had to do it again, the site, would likely name Summer Ellyson to replace her for the preseason honor.

Behind the Cajuns, Troy is predicted to finish second, followed by Texas St., UTA, South Alabama, ULM, Coastal Carolina, Georgia St., Georgia Southern, and Appalachian St.
