A stowaway snake surprised a Tennessee family driving down a highway when it slithered from underneath the hood of their SUV, according to ‘Today.’

Rachel Fisher, her husband Tony and their three small children were traveling to Memphis as the snake crept onto the windshield and eventually made its way to a side view mirror.

Tony filmed the four-foot serpent as it clung to the car for more two minutes before blowing off.

Officials at the Memphis Zoo studied footage of the animal and described it as a non-poisonous, gray rat snake.
