When I heard of the death of Donna Summer this morning, my thoughts went immediately to my best friend Keith LeBlanc, who lost his battle with cancer two years ago. Keith was a huge fan of "Lady Donna" (as I heard him call her on occasion). Keith opened my eyes to the 'deeper cuts' of Donna Summer, and I owe him for that.

I never saw an episode of 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' because, frankly, I don't care to know who they are. Or, for that matter, what they do. Nor, judging by what I hear about them, do I envy or want to emulate them.
With that being said, I wonder if plastering Kim Kardashian's dysfunctional life all over television and magazines added to the demise of morality in America, or IS Kim Kardashian's dysfunctional life a result of the demise of morality in America?

Since Shannon has been away, I have been going to 'my' corners of the house and trying to get rid of some of the stuff that I have collected over the years. (I am NOT a hoarder, I am 'nostalgic'!!) Clothes that I don't wear anymore were sent to Goodwill; cell phones and chargers were donated to charity, etc.

The Mayo Clinic recommends to not use sunscreen that is past it's expiration date or older than 3 years.

I can remember when the newspaper arrived before the sun came up. I distinctly remember this because, when I was younger and still living at 'home', I had gone out one night with some friends. Well, when I came back home, one of my 'friends' had followed me, and we were still 'hanging out' in the driveway (at 4:30 am) when the newspaper delivery car drove by and tossed our paper into the driveway.
