A public gathering to show solidarity with Paris after Friday's terrorist attacks is planned for Sunday, Nov. 15.

The gathering will be in front of the Lafayette International Center at the corner of Lee and Jefferson Streets in downtown Lafayette, according to KATC.

Attendees are encouraged to make signs showing support and messages of love and unity with the people of Paris.

The event is hosted by Mayor-President Joey Durel and Lafayette Consolidated Government, the Consulate of France for Acadiana, CODOFIL, Alliance Française de Lafayette, Festival International de Louisiane, Festivals Acadiens et Creoles, Louisiane Acadie, Action Cadienne and Foundation Richard Guidry.
