Shots Fired At Lafayette Woman

On Saturday around 7:30 in the evening, Lafayette Police were called out to a shooting in the 100 block of Cantal Drive.

Police say a man and woman were arguing at 109 Cantal Drive, and the woman started to walk back to her car.

Officers say that's when the man starting firing a gun at the woman's feet.

The woman was able to get into her car, but she hit the man and a parked car while she was trying to get away from the gunshots. The man was hurt in his thigh and hip area.

Detectives say their investigation is ongoing into what motivated the shooting, and no charges have been filed in the case as of yet.
