    Orange Julius

Cold and frothy since 1926. You can make something close to the original at home but nothing else is quite the same. I hear you can get one in Marrero, but 120 miles is a long way to go for a smoothie, no matter how special.

    Corn Dog on a Stick

    Sears Candy Counter

Snow caps, turtles and cashews. And you could buy just 25 cents worth. I think there's now a cashier stand where the candy counter was at the Sears here.

    Movie Popcorn

Remember when 'the Mall' had a movie theater? And Aladdin's Castle?
