Shooting At Delta State University

Mississippi's Delta State University is on lockdown after a gunman was spotted on campus.  The school tweeted an active shooter was spotted this morning near Jobe Hall and urged people on campus to "take immediate lock down action."  Reports say there is at least one victim and the shooter is still at large.  Delta State is located in Cleveland, Mississippi and has an enrollment of about 33-hundred students.

The man suspected of fatally shooting a Kentucky state trooper is dead after he was shot by police.  Kentucky State Police say Joseph Johnson-Shanks died of gunshot wounds suffered during his arrest this morning.  Johnson-Shanks is suspected of killing Trooper Joseph Ponder after a traffic stop last night on Interstate 24 in Lyon County.
