Lafayette Parish School Board has announced that the call center for parents to obtain bus stop information is now available. Parents can call 521-RIDE (521-7433) or go online to lpssonline.com to get details about their children’s bus options.
According to Director of Transportation Damon Evans, parents should be aware that new afternoon dismissal times may impact bus drop-offs. “We want to make it as easy as possible for parents to get the information they need about transportation for the new school year,” said Evans. “Parents should go online to confirm their students’ pick up and drop off times and locations or contact us at 521-RIDE (7433).”
Lafayette Parish has 289 buses operating more than 700 routes and transporting about 17,000 students every school day, adding up to more than 6 million bus rides per year.
