Hunters in the Bayou State will get a break on their supply purchases this weekend (Sept. 2-4). It's not as good a deal as it was. The 2nd Amendment Sales Tax Holiday exempted sales of firearms, ammunition and other hunting supplies from 2009-15. It's been scaled back this year. AP reports, it's now a tax discount. Purchases will be subject to a 3% state sales tax rate as opposed to the usual 5%.
