In their first practice leading up to Sunday's matchup versus the St. Louis Rams, the New Orleans Saints were missing 5 active players on the practice field.

Rookie tight end Josh Hill (pictured, hamstring issues), rookie offensive tackle Terron Armstead (nose), safety Rafael Bush (ankle), defensive tackle Broderick Bunkley (back), and linebacker Keyunta Dawson (calf) all sat out Wednesday's practice.

Only one other player was listed on the injury report, as rookie defensive end Glenn Foster (knee) practiced on a limited basis.

For a Wednesday practice on a game week, the Saints injury report is lighter than in weeks past.

St. Louis' injury report listed the following 4 players as unable to practice: running back Daryl Richardson (thigh), wide receiver Tavon Austin (ankle), cornerback Brandon McGee (foot), and cornerback Janoris Jenkins (back).

Austin, a rookie out of Boise State, and Jenkins, a second year pro out of North Alabama, are keg cogs to the Rams offense and defense. If neither is able to practice Thursday, there status for Sunday will be in doubt.
