The New Orleans Saints some defensive help on Wednesday, signing two players from the Canadian Football League.

The team inked defensive back Forrest Hightower and linebacker Adam Bighill, to help bolster their roster.

The 24-year old Hightower, a safety, who played for the Ottawa Redblacks, the Grey Cup champions, accumulated four interceptions this past season, his second in the CFL.

The 5-foot-10, 186-pound Hightower played his college football at San Jose St.

The 28-year old Bighill, who has played his entire 6-year career with the British Columbia Lions, while being honored as a 4-time CFL all-star, compiled 108 tackles and 5 sacks in 2016, one season after being named the CFL's most outstanding defensive player in 2015.

The 5-foot-10, 230-pound Bighill played his college football at Central Washington, where he earned first-team Division II All-American honors in his senior year.

Bighill, who signed as an undrafted free agent with the Detroit Lions in 2011 but didn't make the team, worked out for the Saints in mid-December.
