The NFL schedule makers had the Saints plugged in for four primetime matchups this season. They've Been "Flexed" into a fifth. The Black and Gold's Dec. 8th matchup with the division rival Carolina Panthers has been moved to the 7:30 pm slot on NBC, bumping the Atlanta-Green Bay matchup out of the prime slot. The Saints defeated The defending NFC South champion Falcons 17-13 Thursday night. The Falcons have struggled to a 2-9 record so far this season. The Packers are a disappointing 5-5-1.

The Panthers (8-3) and Saints (9-2) will meet twice in three weeks with the division title, as well as possible home field playoff advantage, on the line. The Seattle Seahawks (10-1) currently have the inside track on home field advantage. The Saints hope to change that when they travel to the Pacific Northwest for a Monday Night matchup Dec. 2nd.

For whatever it’s worth, the Saints are 14-3 in primetime games at the Superdome under Sean Payton.
