Russell Brand Gets Community Service For Incident In New Orleans

The  New Orleans District Attorney charged Russell Brand with misdemeanor criminal damage for throwing a photographer's iphone phone through a window earlier this year. Brand faced up to six months in jail and/or a $500 fine if convicted. Brand's attorney, Robert Glass appeared  in court yesterday. Brand must complete

20 hours of community service and pay $500 in court costs by August 31st. Brand  has the option to choose the charity or agency, “whether it be California or England.”
