‘Roots’ Filmed in Louisiana [VIDEO]

If you've been watching the remake of the classic 1977 TV mini series 'Roots' this week, you might recognize some of the locations, because it was filmed right here in the Bayou State.

According to the official IMDB page, the new 4 night mini series was filmed at the LSU Rural Life Museum in Baton Rouge, and St Francisville. You can definitely see the Louisiana influence in the beautiful scenery of this beloved interpretation of the original Pulitzer Prize-winning 1976 novel, written by Alex Haley.

'Roots' airs through Thursday night on all of the A&E Networks - History, Lifetime, and A&E, and was produced by original cast member LeVar Burton. Watch the official trailer above.
