Roadwork Begins Monday On North University

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will begin working on the northbound left lane of North University and Alcide Dominique Drive/Hollywood Drive this coming Monday, March 13.

Not only will that lane be closed, but crews will also close the southbound turn lane from North University to Hollywood Drive.

Then the work work switches up, and on Monday, March 20 the southbound left lane of North University at the intersection of Alcide Dominique/Hollywood Drive will be closed for road work. That work will also mean the closure of the northbound turn lane from University onto Alcide Dominique Drive.

DOTD will be replacing the current crossover with a grassy median, and the project includes adding a new curb as well.
