Report Says Elfrid Payton Will Declare For NBA Draft

Star point guard Elfrid Payton may have played his last game as a Ragin’ Cajun.

CSN Northwest reporter Chris Haynes has reported that Payton will declare for the NBA draft. The report, citing an unidentified league source, says that Payton has hired Ty Sullivan of Creative Artist Agency his agent.

Payton was named the Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year as well as the Lefty Driesell Award winner during his impressive junior season which included a Sun Belt Conference Championship and a NCAA March Madness tournament birth.

ESPN1420 cannot yet confirm this report.

Payton is projected to be a first round pick by DraftExpress.com.
